A Moroccan feast on Scotland Island

My sister-in-law Nathalie is a fantastic cook and she and my brother have the best summer lunches on Scotland Island – just a few minutes by boat across Pittwater

Their home is set among the gum trees and in summer this is how they live – al fresco!

Chermoula lamb is cooked to perfection on the barbeque
Add a carrot, sultana and cumin salad
…. a Pomegranate and orange salad
…. and a baked pepper, tomato and preserved lemon salad for the ultimate Moroccan lunch

To finish off – a flourless chocolate and almond meal cake covered in fresh cream and berries with just a hint of Elderflower water
Add to this some fine friends, a warm November day and some excellent local wines and life is good – in fact, the best!

Chippie the handsome Jack Russell was a perfect guest

And Louie was the perfect host!

Oh my, I would love this Morrocan feast. I'm crazy for chermoula. I'd love hanging out on that porch, too!
    All the best,

    Hello Francesca

Thank you for these pictures of al fresco living and dining. It is sometimes hard to remember that while we are all keeping our doors firmly closed against the cold, for you, on the other side of the world things are hotting-up.

The food looks magnificent and your host and guests charming.
