The art of accidental art
Is it by accident or intention?
That a casually placed pot sprouting a twisted vine creates a piece of art?
That a casually placed pot sprouting a twisted vine creates a piece of art?
Or that a hastily painted donkey shoe
Pops when nailed in blue and framed in white?
That boats drying on a window sill
are art within art?
And a broken pot artistically sitting on a stone wall
Draws you to sit next to it and dream…
…of terracotta days and a table for two…
…and pet rocks resting,
nestled into a wall.
Is it by accident or intention…
That a simple drip can be so alluring?
For the love of the art of accidental art…
Long may it flourish and thrive!

Greetings and thank you Anni – sending best wishes from a cold Sydney! F x
Your posts are always soooo poetic and inspiring !
What a beautifully done post. So much so that I might have to 'copy' you one day if you don't mind and see what shots of accidental art I have from our travels in Greece. Hope you are doing well. Love your posts, so keep them coming.
Every image a delight. These happy accidents do happen all around us, if only we take the time to observe. Lovely post. thank you. ox, Gina
Love this post Fran!
Thank you Mem – hope you have a happy and artistic weekend. F xx
Thank you Gina – you are so right… we just need to take a moment and look around us… art is everywhere. Funnily enough I see it on holiday but not often at home – but I am learning to slow down and just breathe in all that's around me. Have a lovely weekend F x
Thank you Jackie and Joel – of course you must – I would love to see your accidental art – maybe we will start a regularly Accidental art movement and invite bloggers to participate… now there's food for thought. Looking forward to your post. Cold in Sydney – but sunny – and as always dreaming of Aegean islands! Roll on 2015! F xx
