Terms & Conditions
Effective as of July 2025
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before booking a tour with Francesca Muir. By paying your deposit or full payment, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms.
1) Acceptance of Terms
By booking a tour with Francesca Muir and paying a deposit or full amount, you agree to be legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
If you do not accept these Terms, please do not proceed with a booking.
2) Role of Francesca Muir
Francesca Muir is not a licensed travel agent or tour operator under Australian law.
She acts as an On-Trip Tour Concierge, assisting you prior and during your travels and liaising with licensed third-party service providers such as tour operators, guides, accommodation providers, and transport companies.
All travel arrangements and bookings are made on your behalf with these third parties.
3) Tour Dates
- Greek Easter Tour of Crete: 6–19 April 2026
- Aegean Odyssey Tour of Crete: 1–14 June 2026
4) Bookings & Payments
To secure your booking, the following payment schedule applies:
- Deposit: A$1500 per person (non-refundable) by 1 September 2025
- First Payment: A$4500 by 1 November 2025
- Final Payment for Greek Easter Tour in April 2026: A$4500 by 20 January 2026
- Final Payment for Aegean Odyssey Tour in June 2026: A$4500 by 20 February 2026
There is no single supplement – all guests are guaranteed their own room.
If payments are not received by the due dates, your booking may be cancelled at Francesca Muir’s discretion.
5) Pricing & Currency
All prices quoted are in Australian Dollars (AUD) unless otherwise stated. Prices may change due to fluctuations in exchange rates, taxes, or service provider fees.
The € (Euro) is the currency for Greece. Take some euros cash with you or get some at the airport on arrival. ATM machines are everywhere! Many places take credit cards – but not AMEX or Diners. However, most places prefer cash and you will be given a receipt.
6) Cancellation Policy
- A non-refundable deposit of AUD $1500 is required to secure your booking.
- Cancellations must be received in writing via email.
Cancellation fees (based on total tour cost):
- More than 61 days before departure: 30% forfeited
- 60–46 days before departure: 50% forfeited
- 45 days or fewer before departure: 100% forfeited
7) Travel Insurance (Mandatory)
You must purchase comprehensive travel insurance that covers:
- Cancellation and trip interruption
- Medical emergencies and evacuation
- Personal belongings
- Delays and other unforeseen disruptions
You are strongly encouraged to book insurance as soon as you purchase your flights.
Please send a copy of your insurance policy to Francesca Muir before your tour begins.
8) Passports and Travel Documents
It is your responsibility to ensure that:
- Your passport is valid for at least 6 months beyond your travel dates
- You have at least 3 blank pages
- You obtain any necessary visas, vaccinations, or travel documentation relevant to your destination
9) Changes to Itinerary
While every effort is made to deliver the itinerary as advertised, changes may occur due to weather, transportation issues, or supplier changes. Francesca Muir reserves the right to amend the itinerary or accommodation as needed.
10) Force Majeure
Francesca Muir is not liable for any failure or delay in performance due to events beyond her reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Natural disasters
- Strikes or labour disputes
- Government restrictions or changes in law
- War or acts of terrorism
- Pandemics, epidemics, or public health emergencies
- Airline or tour operator insolvency
In such events, refunds may not be available, and any recoverable costs will be subject to the terms of third-party providers.
11) Limitation of Liability
Francesca Muir accepts no responsibility for:
- Delays, cancellations, or changes made by third-party providers; however, every effort will be made to find a suitable alternative
- Personal injuries, illness, accidents, or loss of belongings
- Weather, natural disasters, political unrest, or force majeure events
- Flight changes, lost luggage, or missed connections
- Additional expenses incurred due to weather, strikes, or any unforeseen circumstances
You are responsible for ensuring you meet all travel requirements, including:
- Passport and visa validity
- Health and vaccination requirements
- Understanding local safety guidelines
You travel at your own risk. Your baggage and personal belongings are entirely your responsibility.
12) General Disclaimer
Travel inherently carries risks. By booking, you acknowledge and accept:
- That international travel can involve sudden changes in health regulations, political climates, and natural conditions
- That you are personally responsible for your health, behaviour, and decision-making during the tour
- That you understand the risks and voluntarily assume them
13) Terms Update
- These Terms and Conditions may change. The latest version will always be available on Francesca’s website and Facebook page. If you’ve paid a deposit, you will be notified of any significant updates.
